Recently, a mad scientist visited SES. During the assembly, she and her assistant volunteers performed a lot of crazy-cool experiments. Students were entertained and educated about the properties and affects of air. Students were amazed to see the affects of air and fuel fumes igniting and the strength that a vacuum seal creates. The grand finale was the highlight of the show: a homemade hovercraft. Several lucky students had the opportunity to ride across the stage, but all were treated to a good time when Principal Darlene Matthews gave it a ride.

Most students left the show energized and excited about science. As a result of the visit, SES is in the process of starting an afterschool science club. We can't wait to see what they create.
