Resource Teacher

I am a native of Lake City, SC.  I graduated from Lake City High School in 1995.  I then went to the University of South Carolina where I received a BA in English. I also attended the The University of Phoenix where I earned a MS in clinical psychology and a MAED in special education. I have worked in Florence School District 3 for almost 3 years.  My first job with the district was as a substitute teacher.  My second assignment with the district was as an academic shadow.  I am now dedicated to being successful in helping students achieve their fullest potential at Scranton Elementary School as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade resource teacher.   This is my third year as a teacher here at Scranton Elementary School.  I currently teach reading and writing. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I am excited about being able to have a very positive effect in the learning environment.  I feel as if I have a gift that will allow me to help students achieve learning at the highest level of their potentials.  As a lifelong learner, I truly feel that learning is a part of breathing, everyone has the ability to learn.  I have four sons Akil, Dawson, Jalen, and Adrian.  I enjoy spending time with them.  I also enjoy reading, writing, and watching television.  I also enjoy talking to people and being helpful by motivating them to be the very best person that they can be.
