My Personal Mission Statement:
I hope to help my students learn to trust themselves and be willing to take risks during situations that involve problem solving. I believe students should be taught HOW to think, not WHAT to think so they can be creative thinkers in all areas of life.
Ask Me About:
Using multiple representations to solve math problems.
The Habit That Speaks To Me:
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw-Balance Feels Best
Just a Little About Me:
This is my 34th year in education. I grew up in Lake City and attended Francis Marion University for my undergraduate and graduate studies. During my career, I taught LD Resource as well as 5th grade Math & Science. I am married and together we have 4 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws. I enjoy working on our “new to us” home and yard, morning coffee~devotion time, and going to the beach.
